1. Overview
Fable Print 3D sells one thing: access to a browser-based parametric model generator, through a single monthly subscription. There’s no physical product, no shipment, and nothing to “return” in the traditional sense — so this policy is really about two questions: when do we refund a subscription charge, and what do we do about digital files you’ve already generated.
This policy applies to fableprint3d.com and every subscription sold through it. It doesn’t cover the free, pre-set sample model each module offers — there’s no charge to refund there (Section 6).
2. No Physical Returns
As the Terms of Service say plainly: we don’t manufacture, print, or ship anything. You print the files yourself, on your own printer. Because of that, there’s no physical item to send back, and nothing like a standard retail return applies here — we’re not a store shipping you a part that didn’t fit.
What you’re actually paying for is subscription access to the generator. That’s the thing this policy governs.
3. Subscription Cancellation
This is the default rule, straight from the Terms of Service (Section 3):
You can cancel your subscription at any time from My Account on fableprint3d.com, Stripe’s Customer Portal, or directly at link.com. Cancelling stops future renewals, but it doesn’t automatically refund the billing period you’re already in — you keep full access to every module until that period ends, and you’re not charged again after that.
In plain terms: cancelling isn’t the same as getting a refund. If you cancel on day 3 of a 30-day billing period, you keep access through day 30; you don’t get the other 27 days back as a refund. Section 4 is the one exception to that default.
4. Refund Eligibility
First-time subscribers: a 7-day window. If you’re subscribing for the first time and it’s not what you expected, contact us within 7 days of your first charge and we’ll refund it in full — no interrogation about why. This applies once per customer, to your first subscription charge only, not to renewals.
Billing errors. If you were charged incorrectly — charged twice for the same period, charged after you’d already cancelled, charged the wrong amount — that’s on us, and we’ll refund the error regardless of how long ago it happened.
Service failure. If a technical problem on our end meant you couldn’t access the generator at all during a billing period — not a slow page or a bug in one module, but genuinely couldn’t use the service you paid for — contact us and we’ll make it right, typically a refund or credit for that period.
5. When We Don’t Refund
- Renewal charges, once the 7-day first-time window has passed. If you want to stop being charged, cancel before your next renewal date — see Section 3.
- After we terminate your account for violating the Terms of Service (Section 7 of the Terms covers this directly) — you forfeit the remaining subscription period, no refund.
- “I don’t like the files I generated.” The generator did what it does: it generated the file you asked for, with the parameters you chose. That’s not a service failure, and simply changing your mind about a design isn’t grounds for a refund on its own — though we’d still rather hear from you than have you leave quietly.
- Heavy usage followed by a refund request. The 7-day window exists so you can try the service, not so you can download a large batch of files and then ask for your money back. We’ll use judgment here rather than a hard download cap, but a request that looks like it’s gaming the window can be declined.
6. Free Sample Models
Each module’s free, pre-set sample STL is free — no payment, no refund to talk about. Download and print it however you like; it’s covered by the same license terms as a paid file (Terms of Service, Section 4), just with no charge behind it.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email us at [email protected] with the email address on your account and the reason for the request. We’ll confirm whether it qualifies under Section 4 or 5 above and let you know either way — approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, back to your original payment method, through Stripe. You can also request a refund directly through Link’s own support at link.com, since Link is the seller of record for the charge; either path reaches the same outcome.
8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If something’s wrong with a charge, please contact us (Section 7) before disputing it with your bank or card issuer. We can usually resolve a billing problem directly, and faster than a chargeback does. If a dispute is filed anyway, Stripe — our payment processor — handles it on our behalf; filing a chargeback without reaching out first, on an account that otherwise had full access to the service, may result in losing access while the dispute is reviewed.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service and its pricing evolve — we’ll post changes here with a new effective date. A change doesn’t apply retroactively to a refund request made before it took effect.
10. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the same law as the Terms of Service: the State of Texas, with disputes resolved in the state or federal courts located in Smith County, Texas. See the Terms of Service, Section 9, for the same note about confirming this against your actual business entity’s state of formation.
